Muttville Senior Dog Rescue

Muttville Senior Dog Rescue was founded in 2007 by Sherri Franklin, Director. Franklin was volunteering at various animal shelters and was pained to realize senior dogs were considered “unadoptable”. Senior dogs were often left behind from adoption opportunities only to be euthanized.

Convinced that she could prove this wrong, she started with one dog, then another and another, finding these senior homes. Muttville is quickly approaching a significant accomplishment this year, and is very close to adopting their 4000th dog!

We are working with Muttville to produce new engaging content for the Vet Suite Blog. This blog is intended to provide supporters with an inside look at what happens in the Vet Suite and show how donations help the day to day lives of these newly rescued dogs as soon as they arrive at Muttville where the first step is the medical exam.
